ORTHOPEDIC PROMPT-CARE CENTER
Because accidents don't happen by appointment, Southern Orthopedics operates a prompt-care center that meets the immediate needs of patients with minor musculoskeletal injuries and complaints on the day of injury. The center is staffed by well-trained, experienced orthopedic physician assistants and nurse practitioners who work in tandem with Southern Orthopedics' surgeons. Our prompt-care center enables us to be more accessible to our patients while providing quality and compassionate care.
SOUTHERN SURGERY CENTER
The Southern Surgery Center, an ambulatory, outpatient surgical center, provides high quality, physician led, and cost effective patient centered care in a convenient and compassionate environment. Equipped with state of the art equipment and staffed by experienced anesthesiologists, O.R. registered nurses, radiology technicians, and operating room technicians, Southern Surgery is designed for patient comfort and welfare. In addition to orthopedic surgical services, the center performs surgeries in a variety of other specialties including: gastroenterology, pain management, ophthalmology, podiatric, general, oral, plastic, ENT (ear, nose and throat) and gynecological. The center is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

SOUTHERN REHAB & SPORTS MEDICINE
Southern Rehab & Sports Medicine provides comprehensive physical and occupational therapy as well as industrial medicine across the spectrum of care in rehabilitation and wellness. Additionally, Southern Rehab offers specialized programs on osteoporosis, arthritis, women's health and fitness. Southern Orthopedics' surgeons work closely with the physical therapists to ensure that patients receive treatment that enhance the range of motion and return function to all affected body parts. Our therapists are specially trained to evaluate and treat problems throughout the body, but attend numerous continuing education programs yearly to stay on top of the most current treatment regimens. Southern Rehab is an approved Medical Rehabilitation Agency and Durable Medical Equipment company.

OPEN MRI
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive method used to create a composite, three-dimensional representation of your body. Physicians can use these detailed, clear images to identify and diagnose a wide range of conditions. The difference between traditional MRI units and an open unit is the imaging table. One slides through a tunnel and the other is open sided affording more space around the patient and allowing for a wider range of positions. This is particularly beneficial to patients who are uncomfortable in confined spaces. Southern Orthopedics' Open MRI offers its patient's onsite convenience for such services, but the imagining machine is also available to the medical community at large.
